Allegations against Anurag Kashyap are outright lies, Lawyer

Anurag Kashyap's lawyer has issued a statement on behalf the filmmaker after he was questioned by the police on Thursday . The statement says that all allegations levelled against Anurag Kashyap are false and baseless. At the time, when the said incident took place, according to the actress, Anurag Kashyap was not in India for a month. He was in Sri Lanka for the shooting of his film. The actor has submitted all the necessary documents for the same to the police officials investigating the case.  Anurag Kashyap was summoned by Versova police for questioning. He reached the police station at 10 am and left at 6 pm. The cops are further investigating the case.

The statement from Lawyer, Priyanka Khimani, read, "In an FIR registered with the Versova Police Station, the actress has alleged that in August 2013, my client, Anurag Kashyap, called her to his house and sexually harassed her.The statement further read, "These sudden, belated allegations of an alleged incident of August, 2013 have been widely publicised by the Complainant for the purpose of vilifying Anurag Kashyap, irrespective of the outcome of the judicial process. Anurag Kashyap is confident that the falsity of the complaint has been exposed, not only by the evidence presented by Kashyap, but also the ever-shifting version of events put forth by the complainant in the media.
